DAY 01

Arrival in Luang Prabang

Arrival in Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your guide will pick you up at the airport and then drop you at your hotel. Free time to rest.

DAY 02

Visit Luang Prabang, its temples and markets

Cultural tour of the city by minivan with the guide: morning market, Royal Palace, Vat Mai, Vat Sene, Vat Xiengthong, Vat Visoun. Walk through the historic sector, local markets and shops. Climb up the 328 steps of Mount Phousi to admire the magnificent panorama. Visit of the night market in the main street.

DAY 03

Mountainous landscapes of Oudomxay

Departure by private minivan on a countryside road to northern Laos. The mountain landscapes are breathtaking. Meetings with different ethnic groups such as Tay Lue, Khamu, Tay Dam and Hmong. The guide will bond Western and Asian cultures. Arrival in Oudomxay by late afternoon.

DAY 04

Tay Dam and Tay Lue Craftsmen Minorities

After a few hours of discovery, the adventure continues on a dirt track dotted with fabulous landscapes, rice fields and the terracotta kilns of the Tay Lue tribe. On the way, stop at the small market of the Tay Dam ethnic group where the locals sell the products of their crafts. Visit of villages of the Phouxang, Akha, Tay Yang, Hmong and Tay Lue tribes. Arrival by late afternoon in Bountai. Dinner and stay overnight in a wooden house in a Tay Lue village.

DAY 05

Discovery of the Akha country

The trip continues towards the small town of Muang Khoua where Vietnamese pass their goods between Vietnam and Laos. Visit of Akha, Hmong, Khamu villages and TayDam in Ban Monesavan. Arrival in Muang Khoua by late afternoon and settlement in your guesthouse. Walk in this small town very little visited by tourists, and crossing of a suspended bridge over the Nam Phak river.

DAY 06

Cruise on the Nam Ou river by local boat

Morning cruise on a traditional boat on the NamOu River. These astonishing landscapes make all the splendor of Laos: sheaves of bamboos, vertiginous cliffs ... Meeting with the weavers and Laotian fishermen. Puis, visite du village de Muang Ngoi. Marche en campagne dans les rizières ponctuées de montagnes karstiques. Visite de la grotte de ThamKang, puis dîner et nuit chez l’habitant dans un village de la tribu Tay Ead.

DAY 07

Discovery of the Hmong country

Walk while discovering the daily life of the inhabitants. Return to Muang Ngoi to take the boat and go down the NamOu river. Walk in the countryside on a farmer track towards a Hmong village. It is amazing with its spaced houses surrounded by clean and neat green squares. Women wear traditional skirts or black pants. Dinner and stay overnight in the village.

DAY 08

PakOu caves

Walk on a wide track in the heart of the Laotian countryside to a village where you will meet the minivan and get back on the road to Luang Prabang. Visit of a Tay Lue weaving village and the famous Pak Ou caves on the Mekong River. These are home to thousands of Buddha statues adorned with red and gold tones, altered by the weather. Arrival in Luang Prabang by the end of the day.

DAY 09

First steps in Myanmar

Free time until your transfer to the airport. Flight to Myanmar (stopover in Bangkok). Arrival in Mandalay and free time.​​

DAY 10

Sagaing hill and its 500 stupas

This hill is home to 500 stupas, as many monasteries and nearly 6000 monks. Stop at Soon U PonnyaShin Pagoda and discovery of Ava using traditional carriages. Visit of the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Watchtower, the beautiful Bagaya teak monastery and the brick Maha Aung Mye Bonzan. In Amarapura, walk on the teak deck on stilts of UBein

DAY 11

Boat cruise to Bagan

Boarding for a cruise to Bagan. Discovery of activities related to the river; fishermen pick up their nets, haulers on their long teak boats ... gigantic raft, made of bamboo and teak, loaded with pottery. At each village, women and children will offer drinks, food or local handicrafts. Arrival in Bagan by the end of the afternoon.

DAY 12

Bagan, buddhist architecture at its peak

Discovery of the "mystic" Bagan with its 3000 temples and stupas. Visit of the main pagodas: Shwezigon Pagoda, Shwegugyi Temples, Gawdawpalin and the colorful market of Old Bagan. Puppet show. Visit of the Ananda temple, with its golden stupa and monastery. Discovery of the murals of the Gubyaukgyi Pagoda. The contemplation of the sunset from the top of one of the pagodas is the highlight of the day.

DAY 13

Inle lake, its floating gardens and Inthas fishermen

Transfer to the airport and flight to Heho. Inle Lake is a blue oasis dotted with villages on stilts, temples and monasteries. Canoe trip to discover the life on the lake: its floating vegetable gardens; its Intha fishermen, inhabitants using ancestral fishing method, with a trap and rowing with one leg. Visit of the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, and visit of craft factories of silk, cigars ...

Markets and local handicrafts

Transfer on road to Heho and then flight to Yangon. Green city, dotted with lakes and their carefully landscaped banks. Visit of the Chaukhtatgyi and Shwedagon pagodas, the real emblem of the country. Walk to the sound of bells and incantations of the believers, at the bottom of the huge golden stupa. Visit of the big Bogyoke market, lacquer market, precious stones, ...
