DAY 01
Hike on the other side of the Mekong River
Meeting at 08:30 at our office. Departure by private local vehicle, then crossing of the Mekong by local ferry. Visit of ancient Buddhist temples and here starts a true adventure on mountain trails. Lunch in a small village. Jungle hike departure! Your next stop will be an authentic Hmong village on the top of a mountain. You will stay overnight there.

Activities : 5-6h hiking (350 to 1,050m uphill)
DAY 02
Hiking in the mountains & the jungle
Day hiking in the heart of mountains and jungle. After climbing some hills, arrival at a farmer village. This will be the opportunity to take a break, meet the locals and have lunch. Afternoon on the trails in the wilderness to go down the mountain towards your next meeting: the Khamu ethnic group. Evening with locals in a small traditional village.

DAY 03
Trekking & Mekong cruise camping
Typical Khamu breakfast. Hiking on a small country trail with a way through an orchid forest and rice fields. Once the Mekong is reached, picnic on its banks. Then, boarding in a traditional boat for a 1-hour cruise. Arrival on the wild beach and settlement of the camp. Swimming in the Mekong, fishing net, campfire and barbecue with the family of boatmen.

Activities : 3h hiking (9 km) + 1h cruising
DAY 04
Mekong cruise & PakOu Caves
Enjoy the sun rising above the Mekong, then breakfast in the boat. Mekong cruise for the way back to Luang Prabang. On the way, visit of the PakOu caves with thousands of Buddha statues, then "tasting" break in a village specialized in the making of Lao whisky. Arrival in Luang Prabang around 11:00am.
