DAY 01
Arrival in Luang Prabang
Arrival in the city of Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Welcoming at the airport by the guide and transfer to your hotel. Free time to rest. Dinner in a restaurant in town with your guide.

DAY 02
Visit of Luang Prabang, its temples and markets
Cultural tour of the city by minivan with the guide: morning market, Royal Palace, Vat Mai temples, Vat Sene, Vat Xiengthong, Vat Visoun. Walk through the historic district, local markets and shops. Climb up the 328 steps of Mount Phousi to admire the magnificent panorama. Visit of the night market in the main street.

DAY 03
Hiking to KuangSi waterfalls
At sunrise, volunteers can attend the traditional ceremony of almsgiving to the monks (without guide). Then, departure by minivan on mountain tracks to reach and visit a village of the Hmong ethnic group. Hike in nature for 3h to reach the spring of the impressive Kuang Si waterfalls located in the jungle. Free afternoo at the waterfalls, swimming, exploring, visiting the bear sanctuary.

DAY 04
First ethnic encounters
Departure from Luang Prabang in private minivan on northern roads to reach the Nongkhiaw area. Visit of Tay Lue, Tay Dam and Khamu ethnic villages. A mountain trail through millet fields and rice fields, offers breathtaking panoramas. Arrival at a Hmong village in the late afternoon. Dinner and stay overnight in the village.

DAY 05
Jungle trek and rice paddies
The trekking day begins on a trail, dotted with crossings of millet fields, cultivated by the tribes living in altitude. 3 hours of climbing up to reach a Hmong farm isolated from everything. Epic jungle trek and bamboo forest offering magnificent views on the surrounding mountains and a passage through a chaos of rocks. Arrival at a Hmong farmers village. Dinner and stay overnight in a village.

DAY 06
Boat trip, village of weavers
Walk down the mountains on a small path until you reach the river. Boarding in a traditional wooden boat on the NamOu River. On the way, visit of a village of weavers and Muang Ngoi. Then, cruise to Nongkhiaw, a small town on both banks of the river surrounded by mountains. Free time to rest. It is an ideal place for chilling and relaxing in a hammock.

DAY 07
Sanctuary caves of PakOu
Way back to Luang Prabang in minivan on the northern roads. On the way, stop at the PakOu site, located along the Mekong River. The waterflow is dotted with large cliffs, limestone rocks dug by monsoon rains and floods of the river. Visit of the Pak Ou caves that host thousands of Buddha statues. Arrival in Luang Prabang in the afternoon.

DAY 08
First steps in the southern kingdom
Transfer to Luang Prabang airport and domestic flight to Pakse. In the afternoon, visit of Pakse: its local market, Vat SaLao, Vat Chomphet, Vat Luang and the banks of the Mekong.

DAY 09
Trek into the mysterious Bolaven plateau
Contemplation of the breathtaking Tad Fane waterfall (200m high). Then, the trek starts through the coffee and tea plantations, and you will go deep into the jungle towards the TadGneuang and DaneSinexay waterfalls. This immersion in tropical nature will lead to unique and unexplored points of view. In the afternoon, visit of ethnic villages and arrival at the TadLô waterfall where elephants bath.

DAY 10
Trek within jungle, ethnic villages and lost waterfalls
Day trekking in the heart of the Bolaven plateau. Meetings with local people in different villages of Katu and Nge tribes. Rice paddies, river-side crops, dense tropical forest, wild and lost waterfalls in the countryside, mountains, viewpoints ... and a well-deserved lunch-bathing break in a waterfall.

DAY 11
Weavers of the Katu ethnic group and plantations
Day focused on meeting the Katu ethnic weavers. Discovery of local weaving techniques and opportunity to buy unique hand-woven scarves made by local women. The next stop will be at the beautiful falls of Phaxouam before crossing fields of cassava, and rubber trees. Arrival at your hotel in the afternoon, free time to visit the city.

DAY 12
Ruins of the Khmer temple and boating on the Mekong
Get on board of a local boat to go down the Mekong to Champasak, the ancient capital of the south. Visit of the fabulous site of Vat Phou, a temple on the mountain dated from the pre-Angkorian time period. Departure for the extreme south of Laos in the region of the 4000 islands. Its name is due to the fact that the Mekong becomes extremely wide and hosts many islands. On the way, visit of a pre-Angkorian site named Vat Tomô. Arrival at Done Khong.

DAY 13
Cruising through the 4000 islands and the Mekong waterfall
Cruising on a small local boat through the 4000 islands and the Mekong waterfall. Get on board of a traditional boat heading the peaceful islands of Done Khone and Done Deth. Transfer to the waterfalls of Lippi (Somphamit) by tuk-tuk or by foot. Canoe ride to looking for the freshwater dolphins. Then, contemplation of the grandiose waterfalls of the Mekong named Khone Phapheng. Here the river is roaring and sumptuous. Way back by minivan to the island of DoneKhong

Last moments in Laos
