Luang Prabang by bike, its temples and markets

Cultural tour of the city by bike with the guide: morning market, Royal Palace, Vat Mai, Vat Sene, Vat Xiengthong, Vat Visoun. Walk through the historic sector, local markets and shops. Climb up the 328 steps of Mount Phousi to admire the magnificent panorama. Visit of the night market in the main street.

Hiking at KuangSi waterfalls

At sunrise, volunteers can attend the traditional ceremony of alms giving to the monks (without guide). Departure by private minivan on a countryside road heading northern Laos. The mountain landscapes are breathtaking. Meetings with different ethnic groups such as Tay Lue, Khamu, Tay Dam and Hmong. The guide will bond Western and Asian cultures. Arrival in Oudomxay by late afternoon.

Montainous landscapes & pristine jungle

Leaving early in the morning, you will start your walk at Ban Vieng Kham. You will hike through mountains with spectacular panorama as far as the eye can see, you will cross ethnic villages isolated from everything. Curious children will surely come to see you with a smile. You will end your journey with an epic walk in the jungle. Typical Laotian dinner and stay overnight in a village.

Trek into the Hmong country

A steep climb awaits you, you will discover a panorama on the valley and a mysterious jungle covered with fog. It is a real adventure through banana trees, ferns, bamboos, rock chaos and streams. You will go down the mountain to reach the NamOu river. In the afternoon, the hike will be easier on farm tracks between teak forests and rice fields. Dinner and stay overnight in a Hmong village.

Immersion in villages & hike through rice fields

Way down on the mountainside by a small country trail to the NamOu River. Traditional wooden boat ride to a small village of weavers. Then cruise downstream the river to dock in the village of Muang Ngoi. 1h30 walk in the rice fields dotted with karst mountains. Visit of ThamKang Cave and arrival in late afternoon in a village of the Tay Ead tribe. Dinner and stay overnight in the village.

Traditional boat cruise & Laotian countryside

Morning walk in the heart of the Laotian countryside and visit of villages before returning to the traditional boat and go down the NamOu river to reach Nongkhiaw. Free afternoon in this small town located on both banks of the river between two mountains. It is a superb place for chilling and relaxing in a hammock.

On the way to Pakbeng, small villages and great panoramas

Day on road towards Pakbeng through Oudomxay. This route runs through breathtaking mountain landscapes and authentic villages of the Tay Lue, Khamu and Hmong ethnic groups. Arrival in Pakbeng by the end of the day. Settlement in the hotel, then you can relax quietly on the banks of the Mekong river.

Mekong cruise

Day cruising on the Mekong on a private traditional slow boat to Luang Prabang. The river is dotted with mountains, large cliffs, limestone rocks dug by the monsoon rains. On the way, visit of the famous PakOu caves with thousands of Buddha statues. Arrival in Luang Prabang by the end of the afternoon.
