Visit of Luang Prabang, its temples and markets

Guided cultural tour of the city by private vehicle: morning market, Royal Palace, main temples Vat Mai, Vat Sene, Vat Xiengthong, Vat Visoun. Walk through local markets and the shopping street. Climb up the 328 steps of Mount Phousi to admire the magnificent panorama. Visit of the night market.

Right bank of the Mekong River and KuangSi Waterfall

Crossing the Mekong by boat. On the opposite bank, away from tourists, the atmosphere is totally different. Visit of a potery village as well as the old temples Vat Xiengmène, Vat Chomphet and Vat Longkhoun. In the afternoon, transfer to the breathtaking KuangSi waterfalls. Free time in this heaven-like place, relax, swim in the turquoise water, exploration of the surrounding jungle or visit of the bear rescue center.

Relaxing in the idyllic town of Nongkhiaw

Departure heading North by private minibus by countryside roads surrounded by landscapes of rice fields and mountains. On the way, visit of Tay Dam and Khamu tribe villages, some of which practice handicrafts. Arrival in the early afternoon in NongKhiaw. This small town is located on both banks of the NamOu River at the bottom of rocky mountains. Free time to relax and enjoy the sublime landscapes.

Immersion in the rural life of an ethnic tribe

Traditional wooden boat cruise to discover the NamOu valley and its ethnic villages. You can't get enough of these amazing landscapes that make all the splendor of Laos: bamboo sheaves, mountains and vertiginous cliffs ... Visit of a small weaving village, meetings with local people and discovery of the village of Muang Ngoy. Way back by boat to Nongkhiaw in the afternoon.

Day on road towards Pakbeng through Oudomxay. This beautiful way crosses breathtaking mountain sceneries and authentic Tay Lue, Khamu and Hmong ethnic villages. Arrival in Pakbèng by the end of the day. Settlement at your hotel, then you can relax quietly on the banks of the Mekong.

Mekong cruise

Day cruising on the Mekong on a traditional slow boat privatized to Luang Prabang. The river is dotted with mountains, large cliffs, and limestone rocks dug by the monsoon rains. On the way, visit of the famous PakOu caves which host thousands of Buddha statues. Arrival in Luang Prabang by the end of the afternoon.

Ruins of a Khmer temple and cruising on the Mekong

Get on board of a local boat to go down the Mekong to Champasak, the ancient capital of the south. Visit of the fabulous site of Vat Phou, a temple on the mountain from the pre-Angkorian time period. Departure for the extreme south of Laos in the area of the 4000 islands. It dues its name because the Mekong becomes extremely wide and hosts many islands. On the way, visit of the pre-Angkorian site named Vat Tomô. Arrival at Done Khong.

Relaxing day, bike ride on Khong Island (the largest of the Mekong islands). It's still a little paradise, away from the world, where local people are particularly welcoming and smiling. They like to share their time between fishing, rice harvesting and palm sugar making. It is a rural life, full of harmony, that you will discover by bike.

Wooden boat cruise within the 4000 islands and Mekong waterfalls

Get on board of a traditional boat to the peaceful islands of Done Khone and Done Deth. Transfer to the waterfalls of Lippi (Somphamit) by local tuktuk or by foot. Canoe ride hoping to see the freshwater dolphins. Then, contemplation of the amazing waterfalls of the Mekong called KhonePhapheng. Here, the river is roaring and sumptuous. Way back by minivan on the island of DoneKhong.
