DAY 01
First steps in Laos
Welcoming in Vientiane Airport by the guide and transfer to the hotel. Free day to rest. Dinner in a restaurant with your guide to get to know each other.

DAY 02
Cultural tour of Vientiane and its temples
Visit of the Laotian capital and its many temples: Vat Sisaket, HoPraKeo Temple of the Emerald Buddha, That Luang's Golden Stupa, Patuxay Arch of Triumph and Vat Simeuang, which is the most religiously animated temple of the city. Discovery of Thongkhankham vegetables market and walk along the Mekong river at the end of the day. It is the place where local people gather at sunset.

DAY 03
NamNgeun Lake, karst landscapes of VangVieng
Departure in private minivan on a countryside road in the heart of rice fields dotted with villages of plain tribes. Visit of a saline and the beautiful artificial lake of the Nam Ngeun Dam. The road continues to Vang Vieng through villages and a small market of dried fishes. Arrival in the afternoon and canoe trip on the NamSong River surrounded by the colors of sunset.

DAY 04
Phoukoune mountains, sacred caves and farmers tribes
Discovery of Tham Chang, one of the largest caves in the area. Continuation on road through breathtaking mountain scenery at 1,200 meters above sea level. Visit of local markets, Hmong and Khamu ethnic villages and a Buddha cave (ThamPra). Arrival by the end of the day in Xiengkhuang.

DAY 05
Visit of Luang Prabang, its temples and markets
Guided cultural tour of the city by private vehicle: morning market, Royal Palace, main temples Vat Mai, Vat Sene, Vat Xiengthong, Vat Visoun. Walk through local markets and the shopping street. Climb up the 328 steps of Mount Phousi to admire the magnificent panorama. Visit of the night market.

DAY 06
Hiking at Kuang Si Waterfalls
At sunrise, volunteers can attend the traditional ceremony of almsgiving to the monks (without guide). Then, departure by minivan on the mountain tracks to reach and visit a village of the Hmong ethnic group. Hike in the nature for 3h until the springs of the impressive Kuang Si waterfalls located in the middle of the jungle. Afternoon free at the waterfalls, swimming,, visit of the bear sanctuary.

DAY 07
Mountainous landscapes of Oudomxay
Departure by private minivan on a countryside road to northern Laos. The mountain landscapes are breathtaking. Meetings with different ethnic groups such as Tay Lue, Khamu, Tay Dam and Hmong. The guide will bond Western and Asian cultures. Arrival in Oudomxay by late afternoon.

DAY 08
Tay Dam & Tay Lue Craftsmen Minorities
After a few hours of discovery, the adventure continues by a dirt track with fabulous landscapes, crossing rice fields and along terracotta kilns of the Tay Lue tribe. On the way, stop at the small market of the Tay Dam ethnic group where local people sell the products of their crafts. Visit of tribe villages of Phouxang, Akha, Tay Yang, Hmong and Tay Lue. Arrival by late afternoon in Bountai. Dinner and stay overnight in a local house in a Tay Lue village.

DAY 09
Discovery of the Akha country
The journey continues towards the small town of MuangKhoua where Vietnamese pass their goods between Vietnam and Laos. Visit of Akha, Hmong, Khamu, and TayDam villages in Ban Monesavan. Arrival in MuangKhua by late afternoon and settlement in your guesthouse. Walk in this small town with only few tourists, and crossing of a suspended bridge over the Nam Phak River.

DAY 10
Nam Ou river Cruise on local boat
Morning cruise on a traditional boat on the NamOu River. These astonishing landscapes make all the splendor of Laos: sheaves of bamboos, vertiginous cliffs ... Meeting with the weavers and Laotian fishermen. Walk along the river on a dirt track leading to a Hmong village. It is amazing with its houses surrounded by nice and clean green squares. Dinner and stay overnight in the village.

DAY 11
PakOu sacred caves of thousands Buddha
After enjoying the hospitality of a Hmong family in a typical house, a tour of the village will make you discover their way of life and the local craft activities. Departure by minivan by a countryside road surrounded by rice fields. Visit of the famous PakOu caves on the banks of the Mekong. They host thousands of Buddha statues adorned with red and gold tones, altered by the weather. Arrival in Luang Prabang by the end of the day.
