DAY 01

First steps in Laos

Welcoming in Vientiane Airport by the guide and transfer to the hotel. Free day to rest. Dinner in a restaurant with your guide to get to know each other.

DAY 02

Cultural tour of Vientiane and its temples

Visit of the Laotian capital and its many temples: Vat Sisaket, HoPraKeo Temple of the Emerald Buddha, That Luang's Golden Stupa, Patuxay Arch of Triumph and Vat Simeuang, which is the most religiously animated temple of the city. Discovery of Thongkhankham vegetables market and walk along the Mekong river at the end of the day. It is the place where local people gather at sunset.

DAY 03

NamNgeun Lake, karst landscapes of VangVieng

Departure in private minivan on a countryside road in the heart of rice fields and dotted with villages of plain tribes. Visit of a saline and the beautiful artificial lake of the Nam Ngeun Dam. The road continues to Vang Vieng through villages and a small market of dried fishes. Arrival in the afternoon and canoe trip on the NamSong River surrounded by the colors of sunset.

DAY 04

Phoukoune mountain, sacred caves and farmers tribes

Discovery of Tham Chang, one of the largest caves in the area. You'll continue through breathtaking mountain scenery at 1,200 meters above sea level. Visit of local markets, Hmong and Khamu ethnic villages and a Buddha cave (ThamPra). Arrival by the end of the day in Xiengkhuang.

DAY 05

Visit of the famous plain of jars

Discovery of the historical sites of the Plain of Jars and its still mysterious history. And continue the journey to the ancient city of MuangKhoun with its broken Buddha bombed during the Indochina War. Visit of a local market before returning to the hotel.

DAY 06

Through the mountains to Muang Viengthong

Morning on road to Viengthong through the mountains that shook during Indochina. Visit of a bombed cave during the war (Tam Piew) and regular stops in Hmong, Khamu and Tay Deng villages. Arrival in the small town of Muang Viengthong by late afternoon and settlement in a guesthouse far from the comfort that you know ...

DAY 07

Nongkhiaw between mountains and rivers

Beginning of the day on an uncrowded road towards NongKhiaw. The landscapes are beautiful and only few tourists visit this area. Visit of tribe villages : Hmong and TayDeng. Arrival by the end of the day at a resort by the river. Rest and relax admiring the beautiful rocky mountain landscapes and observing the life of fishermen.

DAY 08

Traditional boat ride and rice paddies

The discovery of the banks of the NamOu by traditional boat is a moment that remains unforgettable. Visit of a weaving village before docking at Muang Ngoy. Walk in the heart of paddy fields dotted with karst mountains and meetings with local farmers. Visit of the ThamKang cave and Tay Ead village. Dinner and stay overnight in the village.

DAY 09

Immersion in PakOu villages and caves

Walk in the countryside, visit of villages and discovery of the rural daily life while returning to Muang Ngoy. Boat trip to Nongkhiaw, punctuated by fishermen using nets, buffaloes, children bathing, wooden villages and bamboo ... Departure by minivan to reach Luang Prabang. On the way, visit of ethnic villages and PakOu caves which host thousands of Buddhas. Arrival by the end of the afternoon.

Activities : 2h hiking + 1h cruising

DAY 10

Visit of Luang Prabang, its temples and markets

Guided cultural tour of the city by private vehicle: morning market, Royal Palace, main temples Vat Mai, Vat Sene, Vat Xiengthong, Vat Visoun. Walk through local markets and shopping street. Climb up the 328 steps of Mount Phousi to admire the magnificent panorama. Visit of the night market.

Itinerary : Luang Prabang

DAY 11

Right bank of the Mekong River and KuangSi Waterfall

Crossing the Mekong by boat. On the opposite bank, away from tourists, the atmosphere is totally different. Visit of a potery village as well as the old temples Vat Xiengmène, Vat Chomphet and Vat Longkhoun. In the afternoon, transfer to the breathtaking KuangSi waterfalls. Free time in this heaven-like place, relax, swim in the turquoise water, exploration of the surrounding jungle or visit of the bear rescue center.
