It is an uncommon dish but very popular for Laotians. Worms are found in the jungle inside the rattan stalks.

Very popular, the chicken legs are grilled on the BBQ small street stalls. This dish is often eaten with the local beer Beerlao.


Raw duck blood soup


Proposed in many restaurants, it is served with mint, peanuts, lemon juice and coriander. It is eaten cold to keep the original flavor.

This dish is usually found in markets or festivals. Although it doesn’t look very appetizing, it is very rich in protein, fat, minerals and vitamins.
