Xieng Muak Strawberry farm is the perfect spot ! The farm is located up above town (10 kms away), off the roads, in a quiet area where you can enjoy a nice walk around. Just ask a tuktuk driver in town to bring you there.
Mr Joy and Mr Tuiy, two brothers and professional farmers, opened this beautiful place 3 years ago and are now a renowed strawberry farm in the country. They have one big field for strawberries and recently started to grow other organic vegetables too. They also host a few animals (ducks, pigs and chicken).
Mr Von who have study in Europ in 2015 for a year is their farming expert (and speaks english). They often invite local people, students and farmers from the most remote places in Laos to visit them and teach them how to grow vegetables and how to run a farm.
You can go there from Monday to Sunday (9am-6pm) to buy strawberries or pick them yourself in the field. If you visit around lunch time, you should definitely stay over and taste some delicious lao style food and freshly picked strawberries, one a cozy wooden table in the shadow of the trees.

How do get there :
From LPG post office just drive straight to Santi Resort (KuangSi road) until to reach the entrance of the Santi resort then go further the resort until the next intersection. Then turn right up to Xieng Muark. After the village of Na Det you find another intersection, turn left. Straight up until the dam (500 meters before Xieng Muark), at the dam intersection you turn left up hill to Hillside Resort. From the dam to the farm you have 1 250 meters precisely. Farm is on your right hand.
